Maybe You ARE Co-Creating.
If you are… what then?
A few weeks ago I was lucky enough to get to talk to Jamie Ridler of The School of Creative Magic as a part of her Magic in the Making Symposium that is happening this week. (There’s still time to join!)
My interview came out today, and I just watched it myself. It’s always strange to watch or listen to yourself, but I heard myself say something, and I wanted to wonder about it with you -
This Substack is called Write Magic for a reason: I truly believe that words are spells and writing is magic. I truly believe that the words that we say matter. I truly believe that As I Speak, I Create.
At one point in the interview I said a version of, “Maybe I AM co-creating… what am I going to do now?”
This is one of my other core beliefs: that we are always co-creating with the Universe. But it is one I forget over and over and over again.
So when I heard myself say it, it was like the Universe was whispering in my ear: “Come back. Come back to this. Make some magic happen.”
What happens in your body, mind, soul, when you read that, words are spells and writing is magic? Does that feel true for you?
If it is… what then?
What happens in your heart when you read: As I Speak, I Create? Does any part of that feel true?
If it is… what then?
If you are reading this, it is likely that you believe in - and value - the profound power of words too.
But then so often, we forget that power. We don’t use it. We don’t remember it. Or we believe the stories we are fed of our powerlessness, our smallness, and that the world is too much. We don’t realize how much what we say changes the world.
Because it does. We’ve just forgotten our power.
So what if? What if we - you - me - are always co-creating our reality with the Mystery? What if words ARE spells and writing IS magic?
What will you do with that knowledge? What will you do with that power?
How can you let that idea - even if you only let it be a possibility - change how you move through your day today?
Tomorrow I am off on an adventure that I have created out of sheer audacity and bravery. It has truly been co-created. It was created because I allowed myself to believe in the power of… well, me and the Universe.
But I had to set things in motion.
So I challenge you now - If words are spells and writing is magic - if we create as we speak - if we are co-creating with the Universe - if any of that feels any kind of true in your body -
what will you do with that today?
While you remember and before you forget again -
Make some magic happen. (And tell me all about it below please! I’d love to hear about what you create.)
With so much love,
Meghan xo
