Really great advice, thank you Meghan. Consistency is the key, I agree. It’s just so hard to stick to one thing when there are so many new shiny things available every single day via the internet. I’m committed to my writing but am so often torn between writing articles, poetry, planning a book idea, reading about writing, watching interviews with writers and so on. It is a daily battle to commit. I’m looking forward to seeing what your exciting idea is!
I think that all of that is okay - maybe easier - when we do have one things that we stick with. It's like we have a calm place of knowing, and then we don't add judgment of ourselves to all of the shiny things. So choosing anything and sitting with it will mean that all of those inspirations around writing can be inspiration again - it doesn't have to mean we stop all of the other things. And thank you!!
